Scope of the position

The Accounts Payable Technical Advisor will report to the Accounts Payable Manager and is responsible for the accurate processing of vendors' payments in a timely manner.

Key Activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely vendor payments, including EFT/cheque runs on scheduled days
  • Reconcile cheque log daily
  • Import vendor invoices accurately from various sources
  • Responsively address inquiries professionally and effectively
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain work instructions for payment processes
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities
  • Perform assigned duties and support internal, external, and third-party inquiries
  • Assist in annual Business Services Strategic Planning processes
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure payment processing and accounts payable invoices adhere to regulatory requirements and Chartwell policies.Qualifications:
Experience:
3-6 years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume setting
Bilingualism in French is an advantageEducation:
Diploma in Business or Accounting or relevant experienceSkills & Abilities:
Knowledge of accounting principles
Attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Ability to manage priorities effectively
Commitment to meeting deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Yardi software is beneficial
