What will you do
Position Description:
The Manager, Material Supply Planning will be responsible for leading the Guelph Planning organization to ensure the development of a feasible production and material procurement schedule which supports the customer service/inventory needs of the organization in combination with the sites manufacturing and financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable Provincial and local laws/regulations, the Companies' policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Develop the strategic direction and objectives for the Site Planning department and monitor performance accordingly.
- Direct the Site Materials Planning team to ensure creation of a balanced and feasible production plan supporting customer service, manufacturing and financial objectives.
- Ensure availability of all raw materials required for production and partner with cross functional teams to resolve component constraints.
- Proactively identify near term and longrange capacity constrained or underutilized work centers and partner with site leadership to optimize volume
- Directs and leads monthly plantbased S&OP meetings
- Ensure the volume planning process is driven routinely in SAP in accordance with standard planning calendars for the Supply Chain Network and the required financial planning submissions.
- Connect with Demand and Supply Planning to ensure seamless flow of information and fully integrated approach to delivering key metrics
- Customer Unit Fill Rate, Raw Material and Finished Goods Inventory and SLOB, Capacity Loading, and Cost per Unit for the site
- Work with cross functional areas to develop and meet New Product Introduction, Re-Launch, Line Extension and/or plant maintenance shutdown objectives.
- Assist the efforts of the Global Procurement Teams and Home Office Planning in implementing and monitoring inventory optimization strategies and effectively monitoring and controlling inventory Levels.
- Develop and efficiently manage the Planning departmental budget
- Lead the recruitment, selection, promotion, and performance management of personnel.
- Participate and align with the required training related to their areas of responsibility.
- Member of critical projects in the organization, including acting as the accountable supply chain representative on the Guelph Site Leadership Team
- Acts as a permanent member representing the site in Planning community of Practice, to ensure alignment and standards of process across the network.

What we are looking for
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience leading teams OR people management is required
- Comprehensive knowledge of MRP concepts, ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) and Advanced Planning System knowledge is required
- Demonstrates the ability to leverage knowledge of sophisticated processes in a global environment to anticipate issues and propose effective resolutions required
Preferred Qualifications:
- A focused degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Logistics is preferred. MS/MBA is preferred
- Experience handling capacity planning requirements including business supply needs, new production pipeline volume builds and other plant project work is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills required
- Certifications/Licenses: APICS/IBF Certification is preferred
