The CAN Health Network has a team that is led out of Trillium Health Partners, one of the largest community-based acute care facilities in Canada.

Comprised of the Credit Valley Hospital, the Mississauga Hospital and the Queensway Health Centre, along with several satellite locations, THP serves the growing and diverse populations of Mississauga, West Toronto and surrounding communities, and is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto.


Overview:


The CAN Health Network (CHN) provides Canadian health innovation companies with an integrated and receptive marketplace by removing the most common access barriers that prevent businesses from growing and scaling to their full potential.

The CAN Health Network's primary goal is to create economic prosperity by scaling Canadian technology companies and stimulate the creation of domestic Canadian jobs by helping companies overcome the structural barriers to doing this on their own.


The Role:


Are you passionate about helping start-ups scale and grow? Do you want to be an integral part of change in Canada's health care economy? The CAN Health Network is seeking a high-energy entrepreneurial-minded person to identify, match and support Canadian companies against our country's most pressing health care challenges.

As the Lead, Company Support you will be a key ambassador of our Network to the start-up and innovation ecosystem.

We're looking for someone who is willing to take risks, who can build a thriving culture of companies and is excited about making a large impact in health care through innovation.


The role will have a priority focus on supporting a diverse portfolio of Canadian based companies - assessing their needs, providing guidance and connecting them to the right resources and partners.

The Lead, Company Support will also be involved in the company selection process for each commercialization project and will use market intelligence and insights to enable faster and better decision making for the Network.

The role will have exposure to high-profile projects involving multiple organizations across the country, be instrumental in supporting the scaling of Canadian companies, and require collaboration with a variety of stakeholders in the private and public system.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain a trusted relationship with leadership teams and key stakeholders in CAN Health companies and partner organizations
  • Assess company needs and strategy to create a company success plan for each commercialization project and ensure the companies are connected to the appropriate internal and external resources
  • Participate in the evaluation and due diligence work for all CAN Health companies
  • Build relationships with promising Canadian companies to ensure a highquality pipeline of companies for future projects
  • Act as the lead for database (CRM) management and ensure the database is always uptodate
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools to track success of CAN Health companies and monitor the KPIs of the Strategic Insights and Company Support Department
  • Build a trusted relationship with all departments of the CAN Health Network and work closely with all internal teams to ensure KPIs are met
  • Mentor team members to share knowledge and insights

Essential Skills and Qualifications:


  • Successful completion of a university degree in business, science or healthrelated discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a coordinating capacity within the Canadian tech and startup ecosystem
  • Deep passion for technology and understanding of startup culture and scaling
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to communicate with and advocate for Network companies
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
