  • Job Summary:
  • The BCM Analyst, Operational Resilience is a member of the Operational Resilience Team in the Security, Risk and Governance (SRG) Team in HOOPP's IT Division. IT Operational Resilience is responsible for IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Business Continuity and Crisis Management, Vendor Risk Management and Vendor Operations, and IT Financial Management.
  • In this role you will support the completion of cyclical activities within HOOPP's Business Continuity Management Program adhering to the Business Continuity Policy. Working with Divisional Leads from across the company you will ensure the execution of cyclical activities such as training, testing, threat risk assessments and annual review and signoff of divisional recovery requirements. This role will support the BCM & DR Program Leads as they continue to build capabilities and improve existing processes. This role will also support the BCM & DR Programs during times of actual disruptions as required. The role incumbent will have a proven awareness of BCM activities, working collaboratively with others, work closely with external and internal stakeholders and communicate effectively to safeguard the assets, people, and processes across HOOPP.
  • What you will do:
  • Support, drive and champion the effective implementation of the BCM framework across HOOPP-
  • Coordinate and execute BCM exercises and tests (e.g., mass notification tool, tabletops/training, BCM testing).-
  • Advise and collaborate with IT groups to define and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing.-
  • Facilitate post exercise/test reviews and ensure any lessons learned, corrective actions or opportunities for improvement are documented and tracked to remediation (e.g., address RTO/RPO gaps).-
  • Maintain and improve Operational Recovery Plan and/or other plan documentation as required.-
  • Lead and/or participate in the threat risk assessment, identifying and assessing current risk as it pertains to each threat.-
  • Facilitate the annual sign off process by supporting divisional leads as they review and update process records and complete their annual signoff.-
  • Drive process and technology improvements in collaboration with Program Leads and developers-
  • Provides 24/7 coverage standby coverage (as required) to support the Crisis Management Team during a potential or actual event, scheduling and facilitating calls/mtgs, guiding CMT members on tasks to consider, tracking decisions/actions/issues, invoking plans as necessary, sharing information and next steps to division leads and others as required etc.-
  • Participate in or manage various projects or ad-hoc duties to meet BCM strategic objectives
  • What you bring:
  • University or college credentials in a related field, or equivalent experience 35 years' experience in Business Continuity and/or IT Disaster Recovery Management, preferably in financial services or fund administration setting.
  • Professional qualification in Business Continuity Management and / or Risk or a related discipline is an asset.
  • Experience in Agile setting and/or working knowledge of Azure Devops is an asset.
