As we grow steadily in mining, we are simultaneously embarking on a massive new entry into the Fleet Transportation market, where our Machine Learning pure software solution can address the 75M transportation drivers worldwide who are at risk from fatigue in the course of their daily jobs.

The ability to maintain a dual focus of growing in mining while establishing product-market fit in Fleet Transportation is an incredibly exciting opportunity.


Position Summary:


Reporting directly to our VP Engineering, the Director of Product will lead the product strategy, marketing, management and development of Fatigue Science's entire suite of fatigue management technologies, branded as Readi.

These products include ReadiSupervise, ReadiDispatch, ReadiAnalytics, ReadiWatch, ReadiSync, ReadiOne, and our suite of APIs.

Additionally, the Director will assist Engineering in driving our Machine Learning strategy as we continuously improve our world-leading sleep and fatigue prediction algorithms.


This role is a "hands on" position both executing and leading product initiatives and involves working closely with the engineering and QA teams, and engaging deeply with existing and prospective customers.

The Director will be entrepreneurial and will regularly engage other key internal stakeholders to define product strategy, marketing, roadmap, and feature requirements, including our CEO and department heads across Sales, Customer Experience, and Marketing.


The Director of Product will ensure that our products meet the evolving needs of our customers and grow our position as a leader in the mining and heavy industry sector, while embarking on establishing a new use case for our product throughout the Fleet Transportation industry firstly and then on to other new verticals such as construction, utilities and oil and gas.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute the product and brand strategy and roadmap in alignment with the company's vision, strategy and goals and report to the leadership team and board of directors.
  • Monitor market and industry trends (TAM, SAM, SOM), competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation including analysis of customer buying patterns to project demand/profitability for products and regularly report to the leadership team and board of directors.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team, leading all product marketing and branding efforts. Specifically, defining product branding, positioning and messaging.
  • Responsible for defining and managing product development and lifecycle from concept through design, development, and service.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to prioritize and deliver product features and enhancements.
  • Participates in customer business processes analysis to gather and analyze feedback from customers, sales, and other stakeholders to inform product decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the product management team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Assist our Product Owner in the writing of story maps and product specifications

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Business).
  • 5+ years proven experience in product management, preferably in the technology or software industry.
  • Experience in gotomarket planning and execution for both existing products into new market verticals and new products into existing markets including developing product commercialization strategies (e.g., pricing, licensing, distribution etc.)
  • Experience analyzing product/brand performance and customer feedback as input to product enhancements.
  • Experience in optimizing product usability and UX design.
  • Experience pitching product improvements and concepts to prospective customers
  • Experience with multiplatform solutions, specifically in web and mobile, and ideally in hardware as well
  • Experience with designing or leading products that serve multiple separate user personas with divergent needs (e.g. products with components for executives and separately for equipment operators)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a customercentric approach to product development.
