Summary:

Reporting to the Planning and Inventory Manager, and as a member of the Supply Chain team, the Customs & Brokerage Assistant is responsible for processing and verifying Cabela's Canada brokerage invoices as well as international inbound freight charges.

Responsibilities:

Audit customs entry summaries (broker invoices) to ensure documentation and calculations are correct and post payment.
Review and correct duty percentage variances.
Review and process international inbound freight invoices for payment.
Review freight factor calculation in comparison to SAP.
Escalate to Planning and Inventory Manager and/or Category Manager to ensure freight factor does not negatively affect profits.
Communicate verbally or written with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies that affect compliance with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
Organize all printed broker invoices with duties and taxes are record for monthly reconciliation and remittance to Receiver General.

Qualifications:

One to two years related experience in administration and accounts payable is an asset.
Supply chain experience is an asset.
SAP experience is an asset.
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience is an asset.
Attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and Word.
Ability to effectively function as a team player both within the department and throughout the company.
