Manager of Veterinary Operations - Contract opportunity

What You'll Do:


  • Provide ongoing support to hospitals to evaluate business operations and drive medical and client service excellence, conduct ROI analyses, source and/or create needed hospital support materials.
  • Manage uploading and maintenance of medical advisory board resources on Go Fetch, ensuring efficient operation, support, and resources.

Operational & Medical Best Practices:


  • Evaluate & Support best practices through in hospital and virtual consultations as requested.
  • Ensuring that all company policies and guidelines are respected throughout the workflow process.
  • Supporting NVA initiatives and key strategic objectives by supporting the field operations team and HLT(hospital leadership teams) to create business plans and SOPs that support improvements.
  • Reviews of stable but underperforming hospitals to identify areas of improvement for hospital leadership teams & Field Ops Leaders.
  • Onsite assessments and support for high performing hospitals wishing to expand or improve service offers, address team culture, drive new medical practices, or improve efficiency.
  • Focus on DVM and staff scheduling to create efficiencies in the hospitals.
  • Review opportunities that will create additional services and expand top line and improve operational effectiveness,
  • Help to identify needs, host, and support Best Practice Days, MDVM days, and Leadership events.
  • Monitor hospital medical practices to ensure the highest standards of veterinary care.
  • Support hospital medical practices to ensure the highest standards of veterinary care.

MDVM (managing doctor) Support:


  • Support and develop tools and resources to create efficiencies and financial best practices.
  • Collaborate with the DVO, Operational Effectiveness Team, Field Ops and Talent and Learning to create best practices and resources.
  • In collaboration with Operations, create opportunities for cultivating community and sharing best practices.
  • Identify tools and resources to be able to provide our MDVM community and assist them to be more effective in their role and be active participants in the whole business model.

Project Support:


  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on creating a resource for hospital assessments for the field operations team.
  • Work with the DVO on creating a living document on innovations in veterinary medicine and in particular the impact and usage in operational best practices.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on creating a document that lists and reviews medical equipment and new services with respect to cost, ROI, and necessary SOPs.

Qualifications:


  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and licensure to practice.
  • Proven experience in veterinary operations management, preferably in a leadership capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and mentor veterinary professionals effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, conduct ROI analyses, and make datadriven decisions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the veterinary industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • 7 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian, experienced at managing a veterinary hospital and be comfortable with up to 50% travel. Previous hospital ownership is an asset.
