VAC Developments is a growing Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company located in Oakville. We are currently seeking a
Punch Press Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

-
Set up, adjust and Operate
Amada Punch Presses for sheet metal manufacturing

Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
Ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with quality standards, target plans and verify correct run quantities
Visually inspect parts after each machine cycle and perform inspections as required

Optimize the running of parts to best take advantage of the machine's operating time

Perform routine maintenance on press machines
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during operation
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma
Must have Punch press knowledge

Minimum 3 years of experience

Use of metal shear and forming press an asset
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and use calipers, micrometers, go nogo gauges, etc.
Must have experience working with tight tolerances (+/ 0.005")
Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to work in a fastpaced work environment with mínimal supervision
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
