Over 80 physicians and specialists, alongside a broad roster of complementary health care disciplines, provide health and lifestyle management services on site and by video consult for individuals, families and organizations.

Our team of 700+ staff see clients virtually and physically from our downtown Toronto and Oakville clinics.


The Role:


The Account Coordinator role will be focused on retaining and growing the business and delivering innovative solutions to existing corporate clients.

As part of a larger team, this colleague will execute account specific strategies across multiple accounts to rapidly drive double digit growth.

Relevant knowledge of group benefits, a commitment to identify and develop new business initiatives for Medcan, an ability to navigate through sales cycles and executive relationship management are fundamentals of this position.

This role will be a hybrid role based in Toronto and report to the Director, Enterprise Accounts.


Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, deliver and lead discussions with existing corporate clients on account renewals.
  • Proactively communicate the value proposition of our services in ways that resonate and are meaningful to our customers.
  • Crosssell and upsell Medcan's offerings to existing corporate clients, including introduction of new offerings.
  • Lead, manage and deliver on growth opportunities.
  • Plan, track and achieve Account Management team's monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Collaborate and work with crossfunctional teams to drive business growth and retention of corporate clients and quickly and effectively address any client needs.
  • Establish and nurture business relationships with existing customers to identify customer health and wellness needs and present solutions from the company's portfolio to meet those needs.
  • Expand existing relationships across the clients' business to enable a broader view of clients' business priorities.
  • Share best practices with team members across the department and organization.
  • Proactively communicate market insights within Medcan regarding market trends, competitive activity, customer needs and experience.
  • Network in the business community and/or attend shows, events for prospecting & leveraging market awareness for Medcan.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years of successful B2B and sales experience in benefits, wellness and/or healthcare environment.
  • Customer focus with proven ability to position and present solution designs aligned to company needs through a strategic, consultative approach to sales.
  • Demonstration of excellent relationship management skills and ability to sell to multiple stakeholder/buyer profiles particularly in the HR Office and C-Suite.
  • Energetic, positive and goaloriented attributes with high motivation and sense of urgency.
  • Exceptionally strong organization and time management skills with ability to execute with focus and flexibility.
  • Autonomous and independent approach to planning and meeting targets.
  • Highly polished client presence who thrives in a handson team environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or science is preferred.
  • Excellent command of English verbal and written, French is considered an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Exhibits a mature communication style with internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, integrity, flexibility and adaptability to change.
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a remote work environment Monday-Friday.

Onsite team meetings and training are a requirement on occasion as needed at our 150 York St location in downtown Toronto.
