Job Summary:


Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the
Human Resource-Office Manager is a dual-role involving full spectrum human resources and office management responsibilities.

This role is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level while the office manager component of this position is responsible for coordinating administrative duties, office activities, supplies inventory and purchasing requests and ensuring that the office operates efficiently and smoothly.


Primary HR Responsibilities:


  • Manage payroll requirements and reporting
  • Administer compensation and benefits
  • Manage and administer human resources policies and procedures
  • Manage recruitment and new employee orientation
  • Manage and implement employee training systems and management development
  • Implement and monitor performance evaluation system
  • Maintain the human resources information system and employee database
  • Proactively demonstrate Federal and Ontario Health and Safety work practices
  • Coordinate office staff activities and company events
  • Perform review and analysis of special projects and keep Management informed

Primary Administrative Responsibilities:


  • Organize office operations and procedures
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers
  • Oversee adherence to office policies and procedures
  • Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
  • Maintain a safe, secure and pleasant work environment

Job Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
  • Strong working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships
  • Selfmotivated, selfdirected and organized
  • Works equally well in a team environment or independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid experience in the Microsoft Office environment using Excel, Outlook, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Proven experience in meeting tight deadlines

Education:


  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management
