ENT200H1F - Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Course description:
How do innovations become useful in society? What is needed for a company to use such innovations successfully? Why and how do individuals and companies commercialize new ideas or technologies? This course provides a broad introduction to entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial skills and the methodology used by entrepreneurs to start a new venture.
Estimated course enrolment: 200 Students
Estimated TA support: 100 hours
Class schedule:
Thursdays, 7:00pm - 9:00pm. 2 hours of lectures per week, delivered in-person.

Sessional Lecturers I $9,457.90

Sessional Lecturers II $10,121.77

Sessional Lecturers III (Long Term) $10,570.02

Minimum Qualifications:
MBA or equivalent level of education and experience aligned with the course topic. Previous experience teaching a similar course at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD aligned with the course topic is preferred. Previous experience teaching using University of Toronto or similar online systems (e.g. Quercus, Canvas-based technologies, etc.) is an asset.
Description of duties:
This section of the course will be delivered in-person in the Fall 2023 term, with weekly (minimum) in-person office hours (St.
George Campus).All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a University credit course, including:
administering course in accordance with University regulations as described in the Faculty of Arts & Science Academic Handbook for Instructors; developing marking scheme; preparation and delivery of lectures; marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to the course, if applicable; availability for in office hours for academic counselling of students.
Office hours must be available at scheduled times.Application Instructions:
