A key member of the team that leads the design and implementation of the inaugural clinical and system strategies, plans, and policies for the Mental Health and Addictions Centre of Excellence.

This coordinator position contributes by supporting the delivery of key business functions - clinical programs, system planning and performance, community and regional engagement, and business operations.

This specialist position contributes their growing knowledge, experience, and expertise to improving the mental well-being on Ontarians through supporting the conception, development and implementation of products and processes that improve the planning, delivery, and quality of MHA services in Ontario.

In this important and exciting role, you will be responsible for the following.

Here is what you will be doing:

  • Providing overall support, coordination, and organization for your business area
  • Being highly organized and efficient and require mínimal supervision to complete tasks
  • Ensuring efficient operation of the business unit and provide suggestions for improvements and implementation as approved
  • Demonstrating collaboration and exercising judgment and independence in organizing your work
  • Modeling the highest-level professionalism, ethics, and customer service
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external partners including governance bodies' members, clinical leads, clinicians, administrative assistants and others
  • Manage incoming inquiries and triage requests as required. Ensure that matters are handled in a timely, accurate and strictly confidential fashion
  • Coordinate, schedule, provide support and manage meeting logistics for various components program including: Committees, Expert Groups, Working Groups and Communities of Practice (CoP) in coordination with other members of the team. Virtual and in-person meetings, workshops, and other knowledge transfer events
  • Ad hoc meetings with internal and external individuals and groups, ensuring activities and deliverables are aligned with plans-
  • Maintain project/program/operational documents and sites as directed
  • Assist in the collection and compilation of required information to support the development and tracking of project/program/operational plans as directed
  • Coordinate program activities, including working with committees and project teams to monitor tasks, milestones, and expenses
  • Provide support in the administration of procurement and contracts
  • Provide support in establishing, mapping, and communicating processes
  • Maintain and coordinate effective electronic-based filing systems to ensure documents are organized, up to date and accessible for the team
  • Prepare documents, presentations, and spreadsheets, as needed
  • Perform other related duties as required
Here is what you will need to be successful:

Education and Experience- Completion of post-secondary education- Knowledge/Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a coordinator or assistant capacity, preferably in a healthcare environment
Knowledge and Skills- Highly motivated, results-oriented, team player- Eagerness to learn about and partner with all regions and departments within the organization to advance the Project objectives- Advanced administrative competence with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)- An ability to create effective presentations, charts, documents, and spreadsheets- You are considered self-motivated, a self-starter and have high-energy- Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, facilitation, and communication (verbal & written) skills- Ability to effectively liaise and work with all positions in the organization- Proven ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders to establish trust, credibility, and respect- Enjoy working as part of a team in fast-paced, collabora
