Job Summary:

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to expedite the procurement and delivery of materials required for production.
  • Monitor production schedules and coordinate with production managers to ensure materials are available in a timely manner to meet production deadlines.
  • Track and update purchase orders, shipment schedules, and inventory levels to ensure accurate and uptodate information is available for supply chain planning.
  • Communicate and follow up with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues related to materials availability, quality, or delivery timelines.
  • Utilize machine shop experience to understand production processes and identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement in the supply chain.
  • Participate in crossfunctional meetings to provide input on supply chain strategies, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Proactively identify and address any potential delays or issues in the supply chain that may impact production schedules.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to supply chain and production management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain activities, including purchase orders, delivery receipts, and inventory reports.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations in the supply chain and machine shop environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management, production planning, or related roles, with a focus on production management and machine shop experience.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Knowledge of machine shop operations, including machining processes, materials, and quality requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and make datadriven decisions.
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.


This is a temporary position with an estimated duration of 3 months and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our supply chain operations and support our production goals.
