Job Summary


Reporting to a Supervisor in Housing Services, this role will provide administrative and program support to the Housing Services Division.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to Housing Services staff, management and other stakeholders in the delivery of housing programs and services
  • Receive, organize and manage client documentation to support program eligibility processes
  • Develops, implements and manages systems to support data reporting and analytics, ministry reporting requirements and the assignment and tracking of program work
  • Develops and maintains relationship with third party vendors, funders and community agencies to arrange and deliver program services and supports
  • Provides support to the organization and planning of special events ex. meetings, consultations, action tables and attends project, community and regional meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Community college diploma in social services, administration or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative work experience with emphasis on customer service
  • Knowledge and understanding of the _Housing Services Act, Ontario Works Act,_ _Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy_ _Act_ (MFIPPA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills that include listening and problem solving with a proven ability to maintain positive, professional working relationships with team members and internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent administrative, time management, organization/planning and selfmanagement skills

Preferred

  • Minimum of two (2) years work experience in housing, social services or related field
  • Knowledge of local community resources and housing, homeless, and social service programs
