We are looking for self-motivated applicants who pay close attention to detail and have a constant focus on Knoll Toronto's goals.

Essential Job functions

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Be extremely well organized and be able to adjust priorities as required.
  • Must have ability to meet deadlines and follow all Knoll safety expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate and maintain 5S in the work place

  • Maintain and follow the ISO standard operating procedures.
  • Must be able to work in a multishift environment including flexible hours and weekends.
  • Willing to use own transportation to travel between Knoll Toronto sites.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends on a rotating shift basis.
  • Develop and match stain/paint for wood pieces according to customer's specifications.
  • Incoming inspection of chemicals, stains, pigments etc.
  • Test products according to procedures and write reports.
  • Batch corrections of stains.
  • Provide technical support and training to the Finishing Department in order to meet customer specification and Knoll Quality Standards.
  • Calibrate lab and Finishing Department equipment in order to assure accuracy of measurements
  • Perform daily inventory of chemicals & stains as requested.
Education Requirement

  • Post secondary education in Chemistry or related field
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both oral and written).
Experience requirement

  • Previous experience in production lab environment an asset.
  • Knowledge of SPC, WHMIS.
  • Handling of Dangerous Chemicals
  • Customer service orientation.
