We are looking for self-motivated applicants who pay close attention to detail and have a constant focus on Knoll Toronto's goals.

Essential Job functions

Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Be extremely well organized and be able to adjust priorities as required.
Must have ability to meet deadlines and follow all Knoll safety expectations.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Participate and maintain 5S in the work place

Commitment to quality

Maintain and follow the ISO standard operating procedures.
Must be able to work in a multishift environment including flexible hours and weekends.
Willing to use own transportation to travel between Knoll Toronto sites.
Work flexible hours, including weekends on a rotating shift basis.
Develop and match stain/paint for wood pieces according to customer's specifications.
Incoming inspection of chemicals, stains, pigments etc.
Test products according to procedures and write reports.
Batch corrections of stains.
Provide technical support and training to the Finishing Department in order to meet customer specification and Knoll Quality Standards.
Calibrate lab and Finishing Department equipment in order to assure accuracy of measurements
Perform daily inventory of chemicals & stains as requested.

Education Requirement

Post secondary education in Chemistry or related field
Must be able to communicate in English (both oral and written).

Experience requirement

Previous experience in production lab environment an asset.
Knowledge of SPC, WHMIS.
Handling of Dangerous Chemicals
Customer service orientation.
