QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Must have Dietary Food Service Workers Certificate, be enrolled in program or show proof of future enrollment in program, with willingness to complete in 3 years.
  • Food Handlers Certificate required and knowledge of safe food handling.
  • Institutional food service experience.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic diets.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift an average of 15 lbs.
  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics to meet the physical demands of the job for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexible, selfdirected and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
  • Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays.
  • Consistent and regular attendance required
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
  • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
