Vendor and Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Finance Team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

  • Builds and utilizes financial analysis tools to manage and report on accounts payable, vendors, payments, and purchase order processes
  • Monitor payment reporting for exceptions and provide corrective actions to ensure completeness and accuracy of payments
  • Monthly vendor account reconciliations for key corporate vendors
  • Corporate credit card reconciliations and Expense report processing
  • Process, review and management of purchase orders. Including identification and closure of purchase orders that re fulfilled, or cancelled
  • Process and review aged/past due Purchase Order reporting and liaise with operations to determine actions required to complete, update or close related purchase orders.
  • Reports monthly on the status of purchase orders, invoice processing and expense and credit card reporting.
  • Supports a month end reporting by delivering complete vendor account reconciliations, and ensuring purchase orders and invoices are processed accurately and on time.

About You
In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance, or College certificate in business administration or finance paired with 5 or more years of experience in a finance or payables role.
  • Minimum 25 years experience working in an accounting or finance role
  • Experience with accounts payable considered an asset
  • Proficiency in understanding accounting and financial reporting
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
