- Provides advice, guidance, and opinions in area of Compliance and Change Management.
- Evaluates and assesses Change Requests for adherence to policy and process.
- Reviews Change Requests based upon adherence level and work with submitting parties to improve adherence.
- Develops and maintains procedures, user guides, standards and guidelines, including the Change Authorities Master Matrix and Consolidated Master of Standard Change Identifiers, to support the efficient and effective use of the Change Management processes.
- Plans, develops / customizes and delivers training on the use of internal IT Service Management (ITSM) application suite to employees and managers, as well as business clients in support of the Change Management processes.
- Develops and recommends ITSM processes, procedures, standards, guidelines and strategies for the ITSM application suite.
- Identifies requirements for and develops customized reports from the ITSM application suite in response to initiatives.
- Provides guidance to the Technology Organization on issues related to the established ITSM processes, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Identifies and communicates opportunities for the continuous improvement of processes and associated procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Interfaces with Internal Audit and Internal Controls Office to analyze and provide recommendation on responses to Audit findings surrounding Change Management activities.
- Coordinates collection of audit remediation data.
- College diploma or University degree in a business-related discipline or an acceptable combination of education, experience, and training.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years working in an office environment with responsibilities supporting business processes and workflows specific to an Engineering, IT or Technology function.
- Experience in developing documentation (such as user guides, training materials, procedures, standards and guidelines).
- Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
- Knowledge of ITSM applications, and specifically the Change Management application.
- Knowledge of operational and project planning, standards and policy development.
- Knowledge of audit processes and frameworks.
- Ability to develop technical documentation (such as user guides, procedures, standards and guidelines) as related to the ITSM processes.
- Ability to conduct reviews of proposed changes to ensure adherence to mandated policies, procedures and standards.
- Ability to develop training materials and provide training, as related to the ITSM processes and their execution.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to organize time and workload effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The work location is the Ottawa TSC.
