Description
We are currently recruiting for a
Configuration Management Specialist to join the Arcfield team in
Calgary.


You will be responsible for supporting the Configuration Management Manager (CM) in the provision of CM services and deliverables at Arcfield Canada.

You will be responsible for all elements pertaining to the maintenance and upkeep of the configuration items associated with Arcfield OWSS support contract for CF-18 Fighter and other future similar support contracts.

You will be expected to develop your CM knowledge and ensure CM best practices are applied to all CM related business processes in place at Arcfield.

You will be expected to exercise and develop further your leadership skills to act on behalf of the CM Manager during times of absence or as required.


Responsibilities:


  • Planning and execution of all Configuration Management tasks associated with the scope of work delivered by our team. This will include management of Canadian Forces Technical Order's, Manuals, Technical Publications, and Maintenance plans and schedules associated with Automated Test Equipment and Avionic Components.
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) from initiation through disposition.
  • Management of Product configurations as a result of changes implemented by Modification or ECO's.
  • Manage product BOM's.
  • Management of Software and Hardware configuration items.
  • Management and execution of documentation amendments, workflows and forms within Arcfields Document management Suite of products.
  • Execute internal and external CM audits.
  • Interface and liaise with customer.
  • Conduct CM Training to other Arcfield staff.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years Configuration Management experience, ideally in a hightech industry sector preferably supporting Military Contracts.
  • CM related Certification.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Business Enterprise Systems and Document Management software.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a Military or Civilian Engineering environment in a technical role such as Avionic or Avionic Test Equipment maintenance.
  • Certified Electronics Technologist (CET) or equivalent experience.
  • Process Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Understanding of Design Development/ Change Project Gate controls.
  • Familiar with Canadian Forces Document Management Systems.
