People and Values Coordinator.
Position Summary/Objective:
People & Values are at the heart of all Riverside Natural Foods' daily operations when it comes to their employees and their success.
The People & Values (P&V) team are both strategic and operational partners that co-pilot the business through developing and implementing people strategies to increase employee engagement and organizational capability.
Riverside Natural Foods is currently seeking a new People & Values Coordinator to join their People & Values team, supporting our Plant Operations at our 2233 Sheppard Avenue West location.
Onboarding & New Hire Experience;
- Act as the first point of contact during the employee onboarding experience, including facilitating new hire orientations, and creating new hire welcome packages
- Liaison with payroll to ensure all new hire information is provided for system setup, including employee files creation and collection of new hire documents
- Aligning with IT as well as our Corporate Receptionist to ensure timely delivery of IT hardware and equipment for remote employees
- Update the new hire orientation package and presentation as changes are required based on company updates on procedures and policies
Business Partnership & Employee Relations:
- Alongside the P&V Manager, provide coaching and guidance to Plant Leadership on all people related matters including policy, procedures, nonworkrelated incidents, and investigations
- Track, document, and ensure all applicable paperwork is completed for organizational changes, including promotions, and transfers for designated client group
- Support employees with leave administration and provide timely updates to all key Plant Leadership on returntowork updates
- Health & Safety continuously support and champion for H&S in the workplace
Other:
- Demonstrate and uphold Riverside's core values
- Conduct Violence and Harassment audits as per the OHSA requirement
- Perform any other special projects for the People and Values department as assigned
- Keeps the work atmosphere
FUN by keeping it light and welcoming
Reporting Relationships
The position reports directly to the People and Values Manager.
Education & Qualifications
- 13 years' experience in an HR capacity in an HR Administrator or Coordinator role
- Previous experience in the industry of Manufacturing or Plant Operations would be an asset
- Completed University or College Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources Management
- Relevant and related fields may also be considered
- System savvy and very comfortable with using Microsoft Office tools
