"General Accountability:
- Developing and implementing fleet management best practices for TTC's rail vehicle or workcar fleet to optimize the allocation and utilization of the fleet to meet service, maintenance and business needs. This includes managing the coordination of all matters relating to procurement plans for fleet replacement and expansion, project plans and project management activities.
Key Job Functions:
- Developing long range fleet requirement plans to optimize and manage the lifecycle of fleet to meet future service, maintenance & construction demands.
- Assisting in the management and placement of the fleet to maximize utilization, including the scheduling of new fleet to coincide with orderly retirement of older vehicles
- Analysing fleet reliability and availability data and making recommendations to optimize and maximize fleet reliability and consistency for service and maintenance activities
- Helping to ensure capacities for existing and newly acquired fleet, and measuring the longterm constraints into the fleet plans against Capital & Operating budgets.
- Preparing, maintaining and coordinating the implementation of effective fleet plans designed to improve efficiency and productivity and to reduce overall down time of the fleet.
- Interfacing with other departments to determine expectations and priorities on fleet availability status, condition, major build requirements and fleet acquisition/ procurement plans
- Working closely with other departments to ensure optimal vehicle allocation and placements for each group to support the demands of ongoing projects
- Developing and monitoring the preparation of vehicle availability and serviceability performance reports
- Supporting departmental and corporate budget preparation efforts
- Authorizing and coordinating the use of vehicles for special events
- Identifying, forecasting and evaluating trends in fleet management coordination through the maintenance and analysis of key performance metrics
- Directly Coordinating & Scheduling maintenance activities and the day to day oversite of the fleets operations
- Developing spreadsheet reports to track, monitor and evaluate key performance metrics, creating action plans to address gaps in performance and providing management with updates
- Planning and assisting in managing vehicle decommissioning
- Maintaining a highlevel of open communications regarding long
- Collaborating with interdepartmental teams, to ensure efficient execution of fleet requirements
- Providing support for day to day operations, scheduling & maintenance of the fleet, as well as project management services for other programs and projects, as directed
- Keeping abreast and maintaining adequate knowledge in fleet management best practices through continual training and development
- Responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (if applicable and within their area of responsibility) in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a serviceprovider and an employer

Education and Experience:
- Completion of a postsecondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
Additional Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge in fleet management theory and practices, including fleet safety, administration and procurement experience
