Summary:
Sentry Electrical is seeking Apprentice Electricians to join their rapidly-growing Wind Construction division in Alberta Canada. Sentry Electrical is a leading electrical contractor for renewable energy, utility and industrial construction services in North America.
We deliver complete, turnkey electric power construction services to major utility companies, electric cooperatives, municipalities, engineering firms, renewable energy, prime contractors, owners and developers across North America.
For this role, Electrician Apprentices will work alongside other skilled apprentices and journeypersons to assess issues and repair electrical problems on renewable energy equipment (such as wind turbines).

Projects are covered by IBEW Local Union 424. Applicants will be required to join Local 424's Membership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Apprentice Electrician will be responsible for repairing, decommissioning, and/or installing electrical systems.
The following are additional duties and responsibilities that will also be required:

Ability to climb stairs and ladders meters in height
:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 25 kgs in weight.
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to grip and manually manipulate, often with repetitive motion, items such as, but not limited to, hand tools, turbine parts.
- Comfort working in confined spaces and at heights over 100 meters.
- Able to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions.
- Comfort working remotely in a Turbine as part of a team with limited supervisory interaction.
- Demonstrates integrity, strong initiative, work ethic, as well as a focus on safety and quality of work on a continuous basis.
- Follows defined instructions and installation schedules, executing plans as directed and performs according to reasonably detailed written and verbal instructions.
- This role will require travel, working overtime, including working a flexible and variable work schedule as needed to meet business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Apprentice Electrician in the province of Alberta
- Ability to understand schematic drawings and connections drawings.
- Must have limited ability to run and bend conduit
- Must be selfmotivated, energetic, and possess a positive attitude with the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
- Knowledge of CE (CSA C22) electrical codes
- Proven ability to take direction
- Attention to details even under pressure
- Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions
- Completion of electrician training program preferred
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate
- Depends on experience.
- LOA for those who qualify
Duration:
Project slated to run through mid March 2023.
