  • Administration Officer (HRSV212)_

Nature of the work

  • The job of Administration Officer involves more specifically realizing daytoday administrative programs and processes for one or more College services.

Responsabilities

  • Working with a team of Human Resources managers, under the authority of the Coordinator of Human Resources, and exercising a high degree of confidentiality in all matters pertaining to the position, the incumbent will:
  • Oversee and process all medical leaves and arrange for medical evaluations when necessary for 4 categories of employees as per collective agreements;-
  • Responsible for the administration of the pension dossier and resource person for all categories of employees regarding pension related matters (e.g. retirements, buybacks, etc.);-
  • Responsible for processing of CNESST cases (accidents, preventative leaves, etc.);-
  • In collaboration with management, reviews accommodation requests from employees and provides recommendations;-
  • Oversees employee Banks, Vacation planners, etc. in collaboration with Benefits Administration Technician;-
  • Provide employees with guidance and information regarding benefits, compensation and leaves in accordance with collective agreements;-
  • Responsible for preparing and analyzing Human Resources related reports as required-
  • Makes recommendations to management in matters related to the scope of his/ her activity;-
  • Assist with the coordination of the workload and supports staff as required;-
  • All other related duties.
    Length of the contract
  • March 2023 to May 2024 w/ possibility of extension
    Qualifications
  • An undergraduate degree in an appropriate field of specialization, particularly administration (Human Resources).

Conditions- 5 years' experience as a Human Resource Generalist is required; Pertinent experience in the field of compensations and benefits in an unionized environment is preferred; Knowledge of public sector payroll and pension plan procedures; Experience in client service as a resource person; Analytical thinker and independent problem solver; must be able to bring initiatives and projects to timely completion; Proven ability in working independently with strong time management skills and within a multi-disciplinary team; Advanced oral and written communication skills in English and French (testing may be required); Advanced Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with HRIS software (testing may be required)
