_ Summary:

_


The primary focus of this position is to ensure all product development activities and projects are executed and managed in a timely manner, on budget and according to requirements.


_ Main responsibilities:

_


  • Manage product development projects toward their targets and goals, and to ensure that they are delivered on time, within budget and to the specified quality.
  • Develop project schedules by studying project plan; breaking down into sequenced tasks/milestones; estimating durations; compiling information from cross functional teams.
  • Ensure that the Dometic Product Development Process is followed, and is responsible to make any formal escalations if targets are not met, or if execution is delayed.
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; leading cross functional team meetings; coordinating activities; facilitating collaboration; resolving problems.
  • Lead meetings and coordinate activities of cross functional teams, including
:

Engineering, Quality, Operations, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Product Management.

  • Prepare project status reports and recommend actions.
  • Ensures program deliverables are met as well as associated documentation.
  • Prepare and present at toll gate meetings to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain project data base.
  • Maintain awareness of and contribute to corporate "Dometic Product Development Process", maintain local implementation, and train other project managers, local and external, as required.
  • Complete additional job duties and assignments up to 15% of the time.
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans.

Requirements:


_ Qualifications and experience:

_


  • University or Institute qualifications in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in an engineering environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Previous experience with product development, new product launches and highvolume production.
  • Previous experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
