Description

We have an opening for a Permanent Full-Time Back-Up RAI-Coordinator.

The Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) Coordinator (Back-up) is responsible for conducting RAI assessments and filling in for the RAI Coordinator in their absence.

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Monitoring and providing on-site support to all RAI users;
Participating in the planning and organization of the RAI process change;
Attending related educational sessions;
Communicating regularly with the RAI Coordinator;
Generating RAI-MDS 2.0 reports and facilitating their use in clinical and operational decisionmaking;
Assisting RAI users to correctly code assessments and providing support for validation of coding;
Working with RAI users to develop processes that ensures data accuracy, an efficient data collection process, assessment completion, and data utilization;
Ensuring MDS assessments, resident assessment protocols, and care planning are completed in a timely manner;
Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) current member in good standing with the College of Nurses in your province;
Minimum 6 months experience as an RPN in LTC;
A sound knowledge and background in Long Term Care;
A sound knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Ministry of Health Long Term Care Program Standards, including documentation requirements.
