Eaton's Electrical sector is currently hiring a Supervisor Inventory Control to join our team. This position is based at our Mississauga, ON facility and offers benefits from Day 1.

This role is assigned the afternoon shift: 3:30pm to Midnight, Monday-Friday.

What you'll do:


Position Overview:


The Supervisor Inventory Control will join the Leadership team of the Eaton's Mississauga Distribution Centre and assigned to the afternoon shift.

You will plan, direct, and control the cycle counting and yearly physical inventory functions in Mississauga. Involve in Continuous Improvement initiatives bringing value addition and efficiency to the business.


In this function you will:


  • Direct and maintain a small, motivated staff committed to department and facility objectives.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory via continuous cycle count program.
  • Provide visible leadership and guidance to all warehouse staff to foster continuous improvements and best practices.
  • Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
  • Coach, train and develop warehouse personnel to ensure goals are met.
  • Responsible for 5S, safety and quality procedures and ensure employees receive effective and timely training in safe work practices.
  • Observe safety policies, report unsafe acts, hazards, and maintain clean and orderly department.
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and organizational regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving efficiencies and productivity levels through continuous improvement projects.
  • Covers for the afternoon shift operations supervisor during vacation/absence.

Qualifications:


Basic Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Inventory control experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Degree in Business/Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory position
  • Lean certifications or working knowledge of Lean processes.
  • SAP experience.
  • Knowledge of WSIB & OHSA.

Skills:


  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
