Intake Officer
Location:
Métis Nation of Alberta Provincial Office Kingsway NW, Edmonton, AB)
Position Status:
Full Time (40 hrs per week), Permanent
The Organization
The Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct an initial assessment to ensure that the applicant has all mandatory documents prior to commencing the citizenship intake process.
- Data capture applicant information into the citizenship database.
- Receive and scan all documentation that is dropped off.
- Enter all telephone inquiries into the database for tracking purposes and client information maintenance.
- Participate in staff meetings and special projects within the department.
- Other duties as required or assigned.

- Knowledge of Métis culture and history.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous data entry experience is an asset.
- Experience working with the public.
- Ability to obtain Commissioner of Oaths designation.
Other Requirements
- Position will be based in Edmonton; inoffice presence will be required.
- Ability to work office hours of Monday
- Friday, 8:30 am 4:30 pm.
- Able to travel throughout Alberta (required) for events and to facilitate Registry sessions. Travel will be up to 25%.
- Must hold a Valid Class 5 Driver's License and have reliable transportation.
