HOURS OF WORK:

Work is performed in an office environment with the potential for remote work available 50% of the time. Hours of work are Monday to Friday. Additional hours will be required to meet workload demands during peak times.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:


Evaluate systems performance and make recommendations for changes.

Provide feedback on hardware and software per vendor specification.

Acts as an interface between Human Resources, Payroll, and Information Systems.

Collaborate with the Finance and IT departments to ensure proper documentation and ensure procedures are followed.

Acts as first point of contact for department staff and outside contacts for all HRIS issues including mass updates.

Provide backup on Kronos/ESP system.

Audit the HRIS to ensure the information reflects hospital policy and union collective agreement terms regarding positions, pay rates, salary progression, seniority, and vacation entitlement/accrual.

Responsible for responding to employee requests and investigation of their queries, correction of errors and auditing of system for similar errors.

Provide information for the development of customized reports.

Make recommendations to policies, procedures, or methodologies based on data analysis.

Provide communication, education, problem-solving and general information sharing within the department through regular staff meetings and other communication techniques.

Maintain policy and procedure manuals related to HRIS.

Implement changes to procedures as required.

Reviews and revises configurations as required.

Develop and maintain documentation and training for a variety of audiences as necessary.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:


3-5 years of experience working closely with HR systems with a strong focus on customer service, technology enhancement, communication, problem solving and decision making with a strong knowledge of HRIS best practices

A bachelor's degree or college diploma in Human Resources, HR Systems, Business, or a related field

Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint required

Demonstrated understanding of HR processes and data

Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects

A strong understanding of collective agreements in a hospital environment would be an asset

Previous experience working with Infor is ideal but not required

Excellent research, analytical, and problem solving skills

Ability to work as a team and independently

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel with the ability to create charts, spreadsheets, and presentations (instead of the Excel, Word, and PPT above - I think it would be important to understand the suite, as we use SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate, etc.)

Working knowledge of Power BI would be an asset
