At Universal Ford, we are consistently growing our internal, fleet and retail business, with our sights set on growing further.

We are currently looking for a Dispatcher to assist with getting our customers and their repairs completed with our day shift team.

Description:

This position is responsible for maximizing workshop utilization by monitoring the timely completion of work in progress and assigning work to technicians in accordance to their abilities.

Responsibilities:

Assign work to technicians according to their skill levels, urgency, and the desired pickup time promised to the customer.
Followup with technicians about work in progress.
Establish and maintain shop productivity by coordinating the work of technician and ensuring that the shop is working at maximum capacity.
Expedite movement of vehicles among technicians by monitoring work in progress at all times.
Ensure the technician working on a vehicle is also working on the same vehicle in ADP.
Maintain records of service performed via computer terminal and hard copy.
Ensure RO content is clear, complete and accurate.
Check for all necessary documentation, keys, etc., and inform the Service Consultant when something is missing.
Accurately flag technicians' hours on daily flag sheets.
Book as necessary.
Administrate billing for all customer pay and warranty internal ROs, as needed.
Ensure accurate billing on all repair orders.
Keep dispatch area clean and organized.
Greet employees in a warm and professional manner.
