What you'll do:


Reporting to the Vice President, Sales and Administration, the Account Executive will focus their priorities on client prospecting, meeting with potential and current customers, understanding their transportation needs, and developing and presenting solutions and pricing to close new business.


Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Identify business opportunities by sourcing prospects, and implementing sales process required to secure the business.
  • Be knowledgeable about existing accounts to produce opportunity for organic growth.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending events, and industry functions, to establish personal networks to increase patronage.
  • Collaborate with customers to determine service requirements and deliver transportation solutions to suit their needs.
  • Build and grow relationships with new and existing customers to ensure brand and project success.
  • Create an exceptional customer experience by liaising between operations and customer service teams to provide customized transportation solutions.
  • Leverage business relationships to generate new ideas and business opportunities.
  • Secure face to face meeting opportunities with large scale businesses and present along with our Senior Operations Team.
  • Research and compile lists of prospective customers to build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential accounts using various resources.
  • Engage in cold calls and visit prospective potentials to qualify them and determine if they are an "Atripco" account.
  • Achieve new account goals by opening and ensuring new and regular orders.
  • Follow defined departmental policies and procedures.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedule to call on existing or potential prospects.
  • Keep management informed by submitting sales activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, monthly work plans, and prospective business reports via CRM.
  • Monitor the competition and identify opportunities by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Participate in sales meetings by discussing new business potentials in addition to any issues pertaining to current clients.
  • Acquire and maintain indepth knowledge about the company's services and pricing structure.
  • Works harmoniously with Operations Team and other departments to support our clients.

What you will bring:


  • 3+ years relevant sales experience in logistics/transportation; specifically "solution" selling.
  • Completion of postsecondary education.
  • Ability to manage and work with CRM software (i.e., HubSpot).
  • Strong client prospecting and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced skills with MS office; Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and strategically in a large sales territory (GTA and SW Ontario)
  • Resultdriven with a strong work ethic and a "handson" approach.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written. An active listener, with strong analytic and problem solving abilities.
  • Extremely well organized; able to keep to a schedule and commit to doing what they say, and makes a strong personable first impression.
  • Enthusiastic, approachable, adaptable, dependable.
  • Believes and acts to ensure service excellence is delivered.
  • Ability to establish credibility, trust, and build relationships with people of all levels of an organization.
  • Proven top performer (consistently exceeds targets).
