What you'll do
- Manages projects of varying size, diversity, complexity and risk and assumes responsibility for their successful completion
- Has demonstrated experience managing projects related to risk management and/or projects that involve process change
- Develops project plans, including scope, budget, schedule and project team responsibilities in order to accomplish project
and change management practices to ensure effective transition of project work into sustainment in the business.
- Demonstrates exceptional stakeholder relationship management to work to ensure project objectives align with annual
- Provides continuous support to client areas and acts a business process liaison.
- Supports development business cases, prepares project reports and, at completion, submits financial and final project
- Reports risks associated with the project to the Security & Emergency Management Project Management Office.
- Works effectively with BC Hydro Change Management and Communications teams to develop and deliver project change
What you bring
- Bachelor degree or a combination of education and experience in a relevant discipline such as engineering, health &
- A minimum of five years project management experience within a utility or similar environment.
- Knowledge of BC Hydro's project management processes and strong leadership skills.
- Proven ability to organize crossfunctional project teams to effectively deliver multiple project(s).
- Good communication skills including excellent oral, written and presentation skills for communication with a wide variety of
- Good planning, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.

- Project Management Professional is preferred
- A condition of employment for this job is that you maintain your Class 5 Driver's License in good standing.
- Please note some travel within B.C. may be required.
- As a project manager in the Security, Business Continuity and Emergency Management Project Management Office, the
have considerable cross company impacts and benefits and will improve how we manage various risks. The role includes
acting as a business liaison, coordinating projects and project teams, and tracking and reporting project performance.
- The project manager will work closely with the Project Management Office and members of the Security and Emergency
any delays.
