Position Overview
The Technical Quoting Specialist shall provide direct support to management and sales team, the manufacturing team including the production planning and scheduling team.
Essential Job Functions
- Review RFQs received. Source the best pricing on raw materials and determine labor required for the job
- Quote products required with the guidance of the Calgary General Manager and Operations Manager. Ensure target margins are met
- Review Terms and Conditions and contracts from the customer, and get approval from Management as required
- Maintaining accounts by supporting the customer on their needs. Verifying the health of the business and look to grow current opportunities
- Complete and maintain accurate sales forecasts, data gathering, and reports as available for reporting to Management
- Maintain uptodate contact names of customers supported
- Conduct Post Sale Follow Up
- Provide solutions to the customer's issues on products by working with the General Manager
- Liaising between customers and the company for uptodate status of service, pricing, and new product release launches
- Stay up to date on MRO's capabilities and product offerings and be able to offer these to the customer
- Conduct business in a professional and industry acceptable ethical manner at all times
- Other duties not listed here but may be assigned by the Manager
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and be sensitive to their needs
- Highly Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Consider all aspects of selling including vendor relationships, profit and loss concepts, long and short term goals of the company
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Communicate effectively to customers and employees
- Assess & respond to customer needs
- Perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
- Use sound judgment, listening, and problemsolving skills to analyze customer problems and to recommend the proper course of action
- Technical review of schematics
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 1 years related experience preferred
- Knowledge of the electronics industry
- Electronics Technologist Diploma
- Electronics manufacturing experience
- Electronics Engineering degree
- Electrical Engineering degree
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
