Position Overview:


Reporting to the Director of Operations, the
Foreman is a member of the Dewatering Team whose responsibility is to provide direction to and supervise the onsite crew in ensuring that all installations are actualized as requested by the field superintendent.

The individual in this position will be responsible to ensure all Aquatech equipment is properly fueled, maintained while on site and in proper working order.

This individual will also communicate any installation issues with the field superintendent.

The individual also communicates with the superintendent on site to provide updates on the status of the installation and any requirements that may be needed to ensure work completion.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and lead in dewatering system setups and teardowns by organizing crew to work efficiently and safely
  • Ensure proper installation and abandonment of dewatering wells and monitoring wells as per Ministry of Environment Regulation 90
  • Work with the field supervisor to commission and decommission dewatering systems, including on site counts, proper installation of all wells as per design, and the startup of the dewatering system
  • Familiar with job packages, including permits, locates, regulations and budgets on specific sites as laid out in job packages
  • Ensure all safety documentation is filled out, including JHA's, toolbox talks, project inspections, vehicle circle checks, vehicle inspections, CVOR duty status, fire extinguisher inspection, first aid kit inspection, heavy machinery inspections
  • Assist in loading and mobilizing equipment to and from site.
  • Count all inventory as per delivery and return slips to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate delivery of equipment and third party services.
  • Ensure all equipment on job site is maintained, serviced, fueled, and inspected.
  • Collect all packing slips, FSR's, delivery slips, return slips, DERT forms, Record of Sales, etc, on a daily basis, obtain customer signature on all necessary documentation and provide to Field Supervisor for processing
  • Follow all standard operating procedures according to policy for the issuance of PO's, WO's, Delivery/Return slips, additions to contract, etc.
  • Communicate with Project Manager to ensure that he is up to date on the status of the project installation and if necessary, communicate with personnel on site on the status of the system set up.
  • Maintain organize copies of job packages, which should include the proposal, contracts, permits, locates, drawings, boreholes, budgets, etc.
  • Participate in emergency (after hours) system setups and/or pump watch activities as required.
  • Report any damages of equipment to supervisor immediately.
  • Comprehensive training in construction industry health and safety, maintain certification of same, including all necessary training and certifications in order to perform job responsibilities.
  • Adhere to all environmental regulations.

Required Knowledge and Experience:


  • Valid Class G Driver's License in good standing
  • Attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Strong reading and mathematical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Adhere to and uphold Aquatech's H&S Policy & OHSA, PPE requirements
  • Water/Wastewater/Civil/ Mechanical Engineering or related
Evenings, weekends (on-call) and travel within Ontario is a component of this position


Job Types:

Salary:
$42.00-$48.00 per hour
