Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of new precedents and update the firm's existing precedents, including participation in drafting and annotating model documents
  • Work closely with lawyers to identify and gather new knowledge resources, and maintain our existing collections of practice resources and research materials
  • Work with the firm's practice groups to explore and implement solutions to meet their specific KM needs
  • Respond to requests for KM resources using the firm's KM collections and enterprise search tool
  • Participate in the development of firm knowledge pertaining to new laws and legal developments, including authoring clientfacing publications
  • Leverage precedent and current awareness work to advise lawyers on legal issues
  • Prepare and deliver legal training to the firm's lawyers and law students related to knowledge products and solutions
  • Promote awareness and active usage of the firm's knowledge resources
Skills & Experience Required

  • A law degree with 25 years of client facing practice experience, ideally with a toptier transactional law firm
  • Strong academic credentials and ability to think strategically, demonstrating wellhoned analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and concisely
  • A high level of comfort with law firm technology and a willingness to develop new technology proficiencies
  • Strong client service skills and a selfstarter who is highly organized, motivated and detailoriented; able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a larger team
