Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Prep Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about cooking and looking to gain experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties:
- Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring spices
- Follow recipes and prepare dishes according to established standards
- Assist with meal preparation, including assembling salads, sandwiches, and appetizers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff
- Assist other kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role or a culinary program is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling and basic cooking techniques
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
