We currently have an exciting opportunity for an entry level
Production Worker This role will be based out of our Extrusion plant facility located in Langley, BC and reports to the Production Manager.

Job Summary

Principal Responsibilities

With training, assist in the line operation of extruders and associated equipment
Perform quality checks using micrometers, calibers, and tape measures.
Package pipe in accurate pallet sizes and quantities and document production
Use basic hand tools and operate of forklift
Identify, transfer, and load material for production
Inspect and report potential unsafe or hazardous conditions
Identify, remove and report scrap in compliance with work instructions
Troubleshoot problems that involve multiplechoice options and determine the most appropriate course of action
Support and stay in sync with the efforts of the Joint, Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
Maintain acceptable housekeeping, environmental and safe working conditions
Perform a variety of other tasks as required

Requirements:

High School diploma or certificate of completion is required
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred; plastics experience is an asset
Must be knowledgeable in imperial and metric measurement systems and basic math
Experience operating a forklift is considered an asset
Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Must be a selfstarter with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn
Good team player including with a demonstrated ability to contribute to and foster a positive team environment
Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, 4 on and 4 off. This consists of 2 Day shifts (7am 7pm) and 2 night shifts (7pm 7am).

Working Conditions

Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
The use of hand tools
Fastpaced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required
