We are currently looking for a Field Supervisor based out of Sherwood Park for our Western Canada Operations team.
The Field Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Operations. They are responsible for assisting company operations by ensuring policies and procedures are being adhered to. This role will provide training and support for company drivers and participation in safety investigations.


Job Duties:


  • Operational Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency
  • Spot checks quality of deliveries (ontime, incident free, safely completed)
  • Assess customer sites to ensure tasks are completed as directed
  • Communicates with other departments and management to resolve problems and expedite work
  • Interprets and communicates work procedures and customer requirements to drivers
  • Observes and counsels drivers at job sites on safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE, backing up procedures and truck positioning
  • Provides field level technical support and training
  • Counsels drivers on customer complaints and advises drivers on corrective measures
  • Evaluates new and existing drivers and recommends additional training if required
  • Resolve operational issues with employees while on site
  • Completes driver audits for pre and post trip inspections, equipment housekeeping and load preparedness
  • Completes Certified Driver Trainer program and will monitor, trainers, trainees occasionally.
  • Sales Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison with customers as required
  • Resolves complaints and answers customer questions regarding services and procedures (_in review_)
  • Develops and maintains customers relationships with existing and new accounts (_in review_)
  • Manage customer relations including site visitations when required
  • Escalates customer complaints and issues while helping to determine an appropriate solution
  • Safety Responsibilities
  • Is on a weekend rotation for the EMR team on an average seven (7) week cycle
  • Participates in incident investigations to determine the root cause of incidents
  • Complete audits to ensure drivers meet safety training requirements for customer sites
  • Conduct worksite observations and hazard analysis of customer sites
  • Ensure proper reporting procedures are followed
  • Ensure all Regulatory Compliances and safety standards are met
  • Participate in all safety related programs and education
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management
Perform assigned tasks in accordance with the Caron QMS and production standards required by the Company and the industry as a whole

  • 510 Years directly related experience
  • Supervisory experience an asset
  • Diploma, Certificate, or Journeyman ticket in related field
  • Valid driver's license, Class 1 an asset
