Senior Underwriter/Underwriter (Specialty Lines), Professional Solutions - Toronto/Ottawa

We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our dynamic, forward-thinking Professional Solutions, Specialty Lines Underwriters in our Toronto or Ottawa office.

The successful applicant will be passionate, and results oriented with the capability to build upon and foster relationships with new and existing broker clients.

Specifically, the successful applicant will be responsible for both marketing and underwriting our suite of professional liability programs and online products.

Accountabilities:

Managing a portfolio of miscellaneous errors and omissions, medical malpractice, and technology E&O programs
Managing a portfolio of online professional liability products and programs
Maintaining and building broker relationships
Evaluating exposures and determining appropriate terms and conditions of coverage
Learning new product lines and coverages as they are developed
Maintaining a thorough understanding of relevant industry trends and their impact on products offered

Qualifications:

2+ years experience underwriting specialty lines (E&O, Medical Malpractice, or Cyber/Technology preferred)
Bachelor degree or postsecondary education in communication, business, or insurance preferred
Bilingual in French and English an asset
