Short Description of the Position:
The Manager of Human Resources (MHR) assists MNjcc leadership in achieving organizational and people management objectives.
The MHR oversees the Human Resource department, with a touch-point on Payroll processes, to ensure that the MNjcc remains in compliance with all applicable federal and provincial legislation with respect to human resource management.
The MHR participates in the management of the systems required to accomplish the agency's human resources goals, including:benefits; performance tracking, management, and evaluation; compliance; compensation; legal; and records management.
Schedule:
- Generally Monday-Friday, 95, but with schedule flexibility. Evening and weekend work is rare, but occasionally necessary.
- This position is hybrid, but will require some work inperson.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, maintain, and train staff on HR policies and procedures.
- Develop, maintain and carry out onboarding strategies.
- Maintain internal customer service standards for the HR department ensuring the needs of management and nonmanagement staff are supported.
- Lead employee terminations, and advice managers on staff disciplinary actions.
- Participate in the payroll process to ensure staff are correctly compensated. Provide feedback to managers to support appropriate compensation.
- Assist hiring managers with recruitment and selection, including crafting job descriptions and creating job postings.
- Ensure that the MNjcc remains compliant with any legislative requirements in HR Management.
- Perform all supervisory duties with respect the HR Associate, mainting a positive departmental culture, and ensuring that HR department functions are carried out.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- CHRP/CHRL or equivalent; Membership in the HRPA is an asset.
- 35 years of experience in HR roles.
- Management experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
- Working knowledge of HR bestpractices, and Ontario labour law, particularly the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights code.
- Experience with DEIB work is an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and Teams.
- Staff in this role will need to follow all MNjcc policies and procedures around vaccination and PPE use.

Salary and Benefits:
- Hiring Range: $52,000 $62,000
- Paid time off including a tiered vacation plan, sick days, as well as some Jewish holidays.
