Data Analyst
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
RBC Capital Market Technology's Data Content team is looking for a highly skilled analyst to join the team.
The analyst will be part of a team of Business Analysts and Data modelers with a focus on:
documenting data requirements, identifying data requirements gaps, supporting the datasets registration, ingestion and consumption processes, standardizing data within the Capital Market domain (includes but not limited to Trades/Orders/RFQ's, Calculated Results such as Risk and Profit and loss reporting) and other structured & unstructured datasets used for analytics.
He/She will be required to engage with senior Data Architects, IT System Owners, Business Analysts, Data Stewards, Data Owners to drive the standardization effort across different Lines of Business (LOB's) and functions (Front Office, Operations, Market Risk & Finance etc.)
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Participate on Intake forum for Data Fabric and DCM request, work with Business Analysts across different line of business and functions closely on the dataset registration for different project initiatives, ensure appropriate domain classification and provisioning point identifications, etc.
- Support the dataset ingestion, classification, registration and/ or consumption processes, working closely with DCM (Data Content and Modeling), Data Fabric teams, ETSS Data Fabric team in the SDLC process of the data content release
- Support data consumption strategy by creating queries/ views based on consumer requirements
- Perform the data discovery and research in data fabric platform to identify the data reusability for new project initiatives
- Support the data registry migrations by providing the UAT testing to ensure the consistency of the data content catalog
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting or engineering
- Data system analysts/data modelers /system analyst experience
- SQL
- Exposure to data analytics
Nice-to-have:
- Cross Asset experience of Cash and Derivative Products (Rates, Credit, and Derivatives), Commodities, Equities etc.
- Good understanding of Trade Lifecycle (Pre, Post) and Front to Back functions (Operations, Product Control, Market Risk & Finance)
- Post graduate certification
- Data modeling experience
- Fmpl, Fix, reactj, json, java
