Job Summary:
Markel Canada English and French Portal Service, Support and Renewals

Duties and Accountabilities

This position will work alongside our Alternative Distribution Team, including our Online Portal Manager to provide support for various tasks including the following:

Assisting with the development and marketing of programs products
on-line and otherwise
Handle renewals and some new business referrals within underwriting guidelines
Provide support to brokers requiring assistance with the portal
Testing of new portal products
Document creation and issuance renewal letters, binders, renewal documentation and midterm endorsements
Maintenance of the portal broker database
Bordereau management and entry assistance as required
Creation of monthly reports for premium and profitability, as well as Portal usage
Accounting / finance issues research into discrepancies

Skills, knowledge and experience

Professional liability underwriting experience preferably 1+ years.
CIP designation an asset
Strong administrative skills and detail oriented
Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to deliver results even when working to meet tight deadlines
Strong business acumen and capable of representing the organization externally
