- Ensuring security while considering end-user efficiency and business requirements
- Assisting engineers in designing more secure systems through input and code reviews
- Addressing vulnerabilities by triaging reports and collaborating with the engineering team
- Advocating for security across the entire organization
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security or a related field
- Collaboration experience with application development teams
- Proficiency in recognizing common attack vectors and exploitation techniques
- Familiarity with threat modeling and architecture design reviews
- Experience with data management tools to ensure data security
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to establish data governance practices
- Knowledge of best practices for mobile and web applications
- Development experience with Ruby on Rails applications
- Strong communication skills for addressing security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
