Description:
Working as an integral part of the collaborative HR team, the incumbent provides a wide range of human resource services to clients (both faculty and staff) within the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering.
The responsibilities of the incumbent continuously evolve and are flexible and responsive to the given priorities of the day, working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Education:
University degree in a relevant field of study; completion of (or working towards) Certificate in Human Resource Management (CHRP).
Experience:
- Minimum of 23 years' experience working in a Human Resources office with experience in recruitment, job evaluation, general advising related to policy and collective agreement interpretation.
- Familiarity with academic environments preferred.
- Experience working with databases, applicant tracking systems and/or HRIS / Payroll systems.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to exercise a high degree of sensitivity, responsiveness, and confidentiality regarding sensitive human resources issues
- Ability to take the initiative and work independently with mínimal supervision

Work location:
This role is currently eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, pursuant to University policies and guidelines, including but not limited to the University of Toronto's Alternative Work Arrangements Guideline.
