What We Offer:

Summary:

Machinists set up and operate precision metal cutting and grinding machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills and grinders to make and repair products made from metals and new alloys.
Ability to operate multiple types of machine shop (CNC and conventional) equipment
Ability to program, setup and operate horizontal, vertical & 4 axis CNC milling with FANUC & SIEMENS controls
Ability to program, setup and operate CNC Lathe with HAAS & FAGOR controls
GibbsCAM or Mastercam experience required
Programming and setup of new parts as well as current part processes
Machining of Mild and Alloy Steels including but not limited to 1018, 4140, AR400
Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production and works without direction with most complicated drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions
Ensure work piece dimensions are correct and set to established tolerance criteria through QC checks
Measure, examine and test completed parts, identify defects and ensure conformance to specifications and blueprints
Organize jobs and material, ensuring they are delivered on time
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and performing basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task and plans proper sequence of tasks
Maintains inventory of completed products.
Shipping and receiving of raw and finished materials, including use of forklift
Comply with provincial and federal law, Company policies and Safety & Environmental Regulations, and the Company's Quality program and procedures
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Other tasks as required

Qualifications Required:

Journeyman Machinist within Alberta and/or Red Seal
Mechanical inclined for machine maintenance and repairs
Ability to assist less experienced personnel with work methods, habits and performance
The ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans and prints
The ability to comprehend and troubleshoot mechanical systems, and
