This is a great opportunity to join a highly efficient and effective multidisciplinary team within the Radiation Therapy Department at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre.

Working in this position, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to positively impact the journey of our patients as they undergo cancer treatment, specifically radiation therapy.

Reporting to the RT manager, the Admin IV will be primarily responsible for the scheduling of appointments, navigating referrals and processing orders.

This position will involve working alongside the therapy staff as well as patients to coordinate clinical scheduling needs and maintaining department efficiency.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Health care experience with completion of a medical terminology course with proof of completion needed. Experience with Computers is required. Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as work effectively as part of a team.

As this is a fast-paced environment, the applicant must be able to excel under pressure, prioritize organization and maintain a positive working relationship with staff and patients alike.

Must also have a proven record of maintaining privacy and confidentiality with sensitive information and situations.

Must be physically able to perform all duties of the job required along with sitting, standing, bending, walking and lifting as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:

Ambulatory Clinic Experience is an asset. Experience with Connect Care would be an asset.
