Position Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate parent and child programs and developmentally appropriate programs for children 0 to 6, ensuring adherence to program protocols and guidelines;
- Work with parents and children to assess any developmental needs and make appropriate referrals wherever necessary and wanted;
- Serve as a resource person for parents and children, providing essential information and supports regarding child development, especially when a child is on a waiting list for developmental services;
- Advocate for the importance of the dyad within multidisciplinary settings and team meetings;
- Provide handson, ageappropriate care for children attending programs onsite, always maintaining a positive, safe learning environment;
- Ensure the promotion of all parent/child and children's programs onsite and within the community;
- Oversee the evaluation of parent/child and children's programs and implement child program plans in collaboration with agency staff and service partners;
- Identify staff coverage requirements and oversee equipment care and inform the Director of Operations and Services of any needs;
- Project a positive image of St. Mary's Home onsite and within the community;
- Actively participate in staff meetings, family case meetings where applicable, and provide support to other staff on child development best practices, promoting an integrative and collaborative approach within the Agency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field;
- Experience working with children in a child development setting;
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices;
- Strong coordination and organizational skills;
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team;
- Experience, compassion and enthusiasm for working with children and young parents;
- Capacity to provide services in both official languages is considered a very strong asset;
- Experience with early childhood education curriculum and programming;

Pay Range:
$45,00.00 -$48,000

- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education (preferred))
