June 2023 until August 31st, 2023

$15.50/hour

Hours of Work: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Are you looking for a summer job with full-time hours and a chance to work in a beautiful 105-year-old building in the Forest Hill area of Toronto? Then we have a summer job for you as our Facilities Summer Student We are looking for a student to support us Monday to Friday to get our school ready for the next academic year.

This role will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Staff Members with summer projects in the areas of preventative and regular maintenance tasks, in addition to general repairs and alterations of the interior/exterior areas of the building.

Specific Accountabilities Include:

Set up/disassemble various rooms, furniture and storage areas within offices and classrooms
Assist Facilities Staff Members with general daytoday maintenance including dry walling, plastering, painting, hardwood floor sanding, sealing and refinishing
Deliver supplies and equipment to the appropriate departments or storage areas
Provide general groundskeeping support
Organize garbage and recycling bins for pickup on scheduled days
Other duties as required

Skills, Experience and Attributes Include:

Working knowledge of basic tools, equipment and safety practices
Painting experience
Ability to push, lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Knowledge of proper lifting procedures
Ability to work from an 8 foot ladder
Effective teamplayer with the ability to work independently
Strong interpersonal skills Hours of Work:
7:30 am to 3:30 pm
