Dental Technician - Case Consultant

Description:


A Case Consultant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of restorative cases in the dental laboratory, from initial assessment and consultation to production and delivery.

Effective communication, meticulous attention to detail, and expert problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.


General Responsibilities:


Assess, identify, and offer solutions for restorative cases including C&B and implants**:

  • Review incoming cases to understand the patient's needs and the dentist's treatment plan.
  • Evaluate the feasibility and potential challenges of each case.
  • Identify any discrepancies or issues with the prescribed treatment.
  • Propose appropriate solutions or modifications to ensure optimal restorative outcomes.
  • Maintain professional and responsive communication with customers to ensure clarity and alignment between the dental laboratory and the customer.
  • Recommends continuous improvement initiatives.

Communication:


  • Liaise with dental technicians to communicate case specifications and requirements accurately.
  • Provide clear instructions and guidelines for the fabrication of restorations.
  • Collaborate with technicians to troubleshoot issues or refine fabrication processes.
  • Ensure efficient workflows and timely completion of cases by coordinating with the production teams.

Records and Documentation:


  • Review case documentation and invoices to identify any discrepancies or inaccuracies.
  • Verify that all relevant details are correctly entered into the system.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all caserelated information and transactions.

Qualifications:


  • Certification as a Registered Dental Technician or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in dental industry
  • Must be able to manage people, processes, and technology
  • Must possess effective communication skills (both oral and written,) while offering strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills; acts skillfully with a sense of urgency
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to think strategically and to lead
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multitasking experience
