Tidewater has an immediate opening for an
Operations Foreman.

This is a full-time position based out of our
Brazeau River Complex near Drayton Valley (relocation assistance provided should a move be required).

This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.


As an Operations Foreman you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our gas plant facilities.

You will lead a team of skilled operators, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations while maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.


Summary of Responsibilities:


  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of operators, providing guidance and support in daily plant operations.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of gas plant facilities, including compression, processing, and distribution systems.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and execute routine maintenance activities.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and control plant processes to maintain optimal production levels while meeting quality and environmental standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, and company policies.

Qualifications/Skills:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary education in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in gas plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • 3rd class Power Engineering certification and willing to pursue 2nd class
  • Strong knowledge of gas plant equipment and processes.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and best practices in the energy industry.
  • Valid driver's license.
