Job Summary

  • The Faculty of Agriculture, Dalhousie University is a small researchintensive campus located in Truro, NS. Offering technical, undergraduate and graduate programs in agriculture, environment and related life and social science disciplines, the Faculty of Agriculture educates future leaders and generates knowledge and innovative solutions for healthy, sustainable societies. Reporting to the Faculty Administrator, the Web Content Transition Coordinator will facilitate the transition of the Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Campus websites to the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content management system (CMS) Touch UI, Dalhousie's primary CMS, in order to support the university's web presence on

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Faculty Administrator, Communications, Marketing & Creative Services (CMC), Information Technology Services (ITS), and other internal and external groups for web content strategy processes, criteria and guidance.
  • Assist Faculty, Departments and units in reviewing existing content for accuracy and relevance. This will include empathy mapping and analytics gathering and review.
  • Use AEM components and user experience/content design best practices to build individual pages based on established criteria. Work with departments and units to prepare and layout content. Identify opportunities for updated web assets (e.g. photos, videos), working with CMC to source materials.
  • Author the site in AEM Touch UI with input from stakeholders. Ensure all stakeholders review their associated and relevant sites and provide feedback in a timely fashion; review and address feedback. Complete final approval process with Faculty Administrator and CMC, and activate site to public.
  • Serve as the Faculty's liaison with the ITS SharePoint Services team as they transition the Faculty's SharePoint site content during the myDal 2.0 project being completed simultaneously with the website renewal project.

Note

The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical, public relations, marketing, business or related field with approximately three years' relevant experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • Experience in creating and maintaining websites (AEM, CQ, or other CMS) including experience with web accessibility standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong writing skills.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with the proven ability to work independently.

Assets

  • Experience writing web content.
  • Google analytics experience.
  • Experience with Windows Server administration, channel player configuration (Windows environment), vLANs, basic networking, mySQL, and/or video over CAT
  • Knowledge of the Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Campus.
